Course Objective To give students the ability to transfer certain levels of Arabic texts to Turkish and Turkish texts to Arabic. To introduce the forms of expression of both languages and show the differences between them. To understand the points to be considered in translation and to raise awareness about translation errors.
Course Content Translation techniques, Arabic translation samples of different grammatical structures in accordance with Turkish language structure, common translation errors, translation of literary texts, translation sampling from Quran and other high level texts.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Understands the differences between the grammatical structures and expressions of Arabic and Turkish.
2Learns and applies translation techniques. If necessary, it can translate according to its technique.
3Understanding the use of sentence structure, word patterns, prepositions and conjunctions, phrases and different styles, understands the source text and transfers them in accordance with the target language.
4Understands the importance of the mother tongue (target language) in translation, thus gaining awareness of the subtleties of the mother tongue
5Realizes the translation errors and the meaning problems that they will cause.
