Course Objective The aim of the course is to analyze and understand the mutual relations between social changes and religion and to develop ideas about solutions.
Course Content In this course, the subject of social change is discussed on the basis of sociology of religion by making use of historical, typological and functionalist approaches. At the same time, the effects of social change on religion are also examined. The course basically aims to understand the interrelationships between social changes and religion. In addition to examining social change in general terms, the problems brought by social change such as suicide, family, divorce, unhappiness, meaninglessness, hedonism will be discussed within the framework of religion.

9Gains knowledge and develops ideas about problems such as suicide and divorce that arise as a result of social changes.
10Gains knowledge and develops ideas about problems such as meaninglessness, unhappiness and hedonism that arise as a result of social changes.
11Gains knowledge and develops ideas about moral problems that arise as a result of social changes.
