Course Objective Warehousing and Distribution are main functions of logistics management. Firms have to use facilities such as warehouse, distributioncenter, consolidation center and transshipment center in order to fullfill customer orders on time and quantity demanded. In this point, it is important to determine location, size anf function of these facilities. Besides warehousing, effective and efficient distribution is also important. Products are sent to customer location with optimizing distribution resources. It is intended to explain main characterisitics and optimization methods of warehousing and distribution systems.
