Course Objective The general aim of this course is to introduce the guidance process and special education in schools, and the main topics are: The place of guidance services in education; brief history of guidance; models and approaches to guidance; philosophy, purpose, principles and program of the developmental guidance model (comprehensive developmental guidance program); types of guidance (educational, vocational and personal guidance); the role and function of the teacher in classroom guidance; basic concepts of special education; principles and historical development of special education; legal regulations on special education; screening, referral, diagnosis and evaluation in special education; individualization of teaching; mainstreaming and support special education services; family involvement and cooperation in special education; ethical principles in guidance and special education.
