Course Objective The aim of this course is to e inform about properties and applications of nanomaterials and to create awareness about the process, structure and productions of this developing rapidly new areas.In this course information is given about ;Definition of nanomaterials,concept of nano dimensions, basic principles of nanomaterials and importance and application areas of nanotubes,high performance of materials gained due to nano dimensions, synthesis and productions methods of nanomaterials, investigations tools for nanoproperties.Current status, future and targets of nanomaterials are discusssed
Course Content To define manomaterials, to learnnatural nanomaterials and historical development of nanoapplications; To understand nanodimensions, basic research topics, nano applications areas and interdisciplinary science concepts; To learn the liquid solid and vapour synthesis methods of nanoparticles, sol gel, chemical precipitation, dry milling, PVD and CVD methods; To describe carbonnanotubes, and to learn production methods,properties and application areas in electronic and medicine; To describe carbonnanomaterials graphine, fullerene, nanotubes, nanowires, and t oto understand formation and structural concepts.
