Course Objective Students learn basic concepts of mechanisms, typical mechanism types and graphical and analytical methods that are used in kinematic analysis of mechanisms.
Course Content Basic concepts; Classification of mechanisms; the degree of freedom of mechanisms; Determination of the degree of freedom of mechanisms; Instantaneous rotation centers in the mechanisms; Simple four-link mechanisms; Simple kinematic synthesis of four-link mechanisms; Kinematic analysis of mechanisms; Displacement; Velocity and acceleration analysis; Gear mechanisms; Computational modeling of mechanisms
