Course Objective To comprehend basic principles and applications in engineering systems of thermodynamics.
Course Content Exergy, Gas and Steam Cycles, Refrigeration Cycles, Thermodynamic Properties and Relations, Gas Mixtures, Air Conditioning, Chemical Reactions.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Comprehension of the thermodynamic concepts and laws by using the thermodynamic terminology properly.
2Distinction between pure substance and ideal gas, and evaluation of the properties of the substances.
3Constitution of appropriate assumptions and obtaining thermodynamic data necessary to solve thermodynamic problems.
4Determination of the limits of the performance of the thermal engines.
5 Comprehension of gas power cycles. Performing quantitative air-standard cycle analysis by using basic thermodynamic principles.
6Comprehension of the relationship of thermodynamics to other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
