Course Objective Energy converted to mechanic job is explained to use thermodynamics laws. Classification of alternative energy supply usage fields. Explanation of alternative energy types used in internal combustion engine and usage shape. Explanation of operation principle of hybrid engines and fuel cells. Explanation of operation principle of external exothermic machine and energy supplies used in them .
Course Content Energy, energy types energy conversion, job, first law of thermodynamics, second law of thermodynamics, productivity and availability. Renewable energy supply (solar energy, vegetable fuels, wind energy), nuclear energy, energy supplies with fossil origin and geothermal energy. Alternative energy types are used in gasoline engine, gas fuels (hydrogen, LPG, natural gas, biogas), liquid fuels (ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol) and alternative energy types are used in diesel engine. Hybrid engines, fuel cells. Engines with solar energy, Stirling engines and usage energy types, Erickson machines and usage energy types, steam engines.
