COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To teach students the basic concepts of automotive engineering and to increase their interest in automotive engineering. Giving the ability to follow technological developments in the automotive industry to students.
Course Content The fundamentals about automotive engineering, automotive history, automotive design and dynamics, vehicle manufacturing methods, vehicle safety, vehicle components, drives, motors, hybrid vehicles, fuels and combustion, emissions, vehicle powertrain, vehicle electronic systems, automotive mechatronics, electric vehicles, automotive industry and technological developments.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Automotive Engineering
2Explain the basic principles of automotive sytems and parts, and functions of these systems and parts.
3Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of automotive design and manufacturing processes for automotive products and systems
4Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of economics and social context of automotive engineering in practice and its impact on the wider society.
