Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce the science and technology of metals and materials to undergraduate students. This also introduce related sector. Besides, this informs general knowledge worker health, safety and vocational illness. This course also provides fundamental information of beginning subject of materials science
Course Content Introduction, Definition of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials, Application Fields of Metallurgical Engineering, Education of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in Turkey, The Importance of Materials Science and New Materials, The Importance of Extractive Metallurgy in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Companies in Turkey, The Capacity and performance of Metallurgical Companies in Turkey and Abroad, The Classification of Products, New Trends and Materials Developments in Metallurgical Industry, Work Safety.
