Course Objective Help students to become familiar with processing methods.of metallic materials and understand the basic principles of the processing techniques for metals and alloys
Course Content Introduction to metallic materials, preparation of ore, blast furnace and pig iron, production of steel, contunious casting, production of nonferrous metals, production methods by casting and types of casting, powder metallurgy, processes of ceramic production, characterization of powder, powder size distribution, packing of powders, solid and liquid phase sintering.
