Course Objective The purpose of this course is to instruct the students the importance of occupational health and safety education, to provide information on measures to be taken against accidents.
Course Content Occupational health, nature and importance of occupational health practices at work, an overview of occupational diseases, work-related diseases, occupational diseases, investigation of metals (mercury and lead), working life and health disadvantages of common dust, an overview of workplace accidents.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To understand the definition and purpose of making workers' health and safety.
2The historical development of occupational health and safety and understand the importance of education.
3To understand the necessary safety precautions when working lathe,milling, CNC machines.
4To understand the safety precautions required for handling of hand tools.
5Benefits and to make use of protective devices and gadgets.
6To understand the worker health and safety legislation.
