COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To develop awareness about social, economic, cultural and other social factors that form architecture as historical and social discipline; to make research, to read and create a critical approach in this field.
Course Content European Romanesque, Gothic, Classisism, Industrial period and Islam (early Islam, Seljuk and Ottoman), Renaissance, Baroque.
Prerequisites MIM 231 HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE I
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Develops a basic chronological explaination of major architectural developments.
2Identifies built forms, construction techniques and materials with a contextual approach.
3To be able to rationalise and associate built forms, construction techniques and materials with relevant social, economic, cultural, and technological contexts and encounters.
4Describes architectural features of major structures and architectural works of history.
5Makes spatial analysis of major architectural works within oral and visual media.
6Distinguishes and compares architectural and art productions of similar and differing cultural contexts.
