Course Objective To teach the production progresses and routines in housekeeping departments of hotels and analysis of variables affected productivity of them.
Course Content The meaning and importance of housekeeping management in service industry, its application fields, the concept of housekeeping in hotel management, the place and tasks of housekeeping management through the structure of organisation, service quality in housekeeping management, determining responsible departments and responsibility area in housekeeping management, labour force, formation of productivity standarts, type and amount of the necessary equipment and materials, executive knowledge about organization in housekeeping management, determining the tasks and responsibilities of housekeeping department, executive knowledge about coordination in housekeeping management, supplying the coordination between housekeeping and other departments, control process in housekeeping management.

5Explains and analyzes the effects of housekeeping on city and holiday hotels.
6Designs the organizational structure and sub-units of the housekeeping department.
7Students can translate the knowledge which they captured by experimental studies and practices, to their business life which they will start in a hotel company.
8Students recognize the rooms and equipments that used in the rooms.
9Student recognize the cleaning methods that used in the tourism enterprises.
