Course Objective The aim is to gain knowledge of the concept of opto-electronics, distribution and the knowledge of the materials used in opto-electronics.
Course Content Maxwell equations, propagation of rays, spherical waves and Gaussian beams. Optical resonators. Modulation and detection of optical radiation. Noise in optical detection and generation. Interaction of light and sound. Lasers and laser applications.
