Course Objective In this course it’s critically aimed to enable teacher trainees to have major effective classroom management skills and knowledge. Constructivism is the key parameter in designing the course content. Through this course, students will explore a range of models and strategies that will serve as a foundation for developing a personal approach to classroom management. Classroom management will be defined by exploring theory and research in the field. In addition, rationale will be examined in considering it as a structure, as a system, as a process, as instruction and as discipline. Through the examination of the theoretical precepts and practical applications of classroom management, students will be prepared to fully understand the potential and the consequences of both maintaining appropriate student behavior as well as how to manage and sustain a classroom environment that meets the needs of all students.
Course Content Basic concepts of classroom management, communication and interaction in classroom, description of classroom management, different aspects of classroom management in ensuring discipline, factors affecting classroom environment, classroom management models, developing and implementing rules in classroom, designing classroom physically, undesired behavior management in classroom, time management in classroom, classroom organization, having a classroom environment proper with learning (examples and proposals).
