Course Objective The aim of this lecture is to give information about special cellulosic fibers (bamboo, lyocell, modal, polynosic), silk fibers, new type chemical fibers (special polyester fibers, special polyamide fibers, micro and nanofibers, elastic fibers), their chemical structures, characteristic properties and usage areas to the students.
Course Content This lecture encompasses high performance natural, regenerated and chemical fibers used in textile applications, their chemical and physical properties, synthesis reactions and usage areas.
