Course Objective Students are expected to be informed about new spinning technologies of rotor spinning, air jet spinning, vortex spinning, DREF spinning, wrap spinning, self twist spinning, electrospinning. Lecture content is also prepared aiming to give information about the technological and econemical reason to use new spinning technologies instead of classical ring spinning.
Course Content New yarn spinning methods and reason to search new spinning methods and technologies. Principles of open end spinning, rotor spinning, raw material specifications. Airjet and air vortex spinning , DREF spinning, Self twist spinning, Wrap and Core spun yarns, Comparison of spinning technologies from the view of productivity, economy, technological properties, and market share.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To have knowledge about new spinning technologies and technological and economical reason to search and study about new spinning methods.
2To have knowledge about rotor spinning technology, machine , production parameters and market share of rotor yarns.
3To have knowledge about DREF spinning technology, machine , production parameters and market share of DREF yarns.
4To have knowledge about airjet and air vortex spinning technology, machine , production parameters and market share of airjet and air vortex yarns.
5To have knowledge about core and wrap spinning technology, machine , production parameters and market share of core and wrap yarns
6To have knowledge about other yarn production Technologies and processes.
