Course Objective Wool spinning ( long staple spinning) technologies and machineries are aimed to be studied.
Course Content General knowledge about woolen sector in the world and in Turkey. Long staple Spinning methodology. Wool resaerch institutes in the world. Turkish wool classifications. Wool fiber properties. Wool preperation, opening, dusting. Wool scouring and drying methods and machinery. Wool waxing. Carbonisation . Woolen, worsted and semi worsted spinning technologies and machinery. Yarn spinnning technology, new improvements for wool. Blending of long staple fiber. Air conditioning. Production calculations.

1Students become aware of general information about wool and wool yarn processing market conditions in the world and in Turkey.
2Students become aware of long stapel spinning principles.
3Students become aware of spinning preparation stages of wool spinning
4Students become aware of woolen spinning systems and their machineries
5Students become aware of woolen, worsted and semi worsted spinning systems and be able to recognize their differences.
6Students become aware of preparation machinery of spinning.
7Students become aware of producion calculation
8Students become aware of woolen blend processes
