Course Objective The objective of the course is to enable the students to learn the welding and casting methods of the materials extensively used in industry.
Course Content Classification of casting methods. Fundamental of sand mold casting. Metal mold casting. Pressure casting. Centrifugal casting. Continuous casting. Powder metallurgy. Classification of welding methods. Weldability of materials. Gas welding. Arc welding methods. Electroslag welding. Electron beam welding and laser welding. Resistance welding. Friction welding. Soldering and brazing. Adhesive bonding. Thermal cutting methods.
