Course Objective To understand the nature of science—its scope, methods and aims.
Course Content We will be focusing on the following issues: inductivism; verificationism; does science explain or merely describe?; Popper’s falsificationism, Science as a research program: Kuhn and Lakatos, Feyerabend.
