Course Objective To remind general chemistry topics that composes of basic of environmental chemistry. To give chemical analysis methods and operation principles of equipments using on chemical analysis. To teach trace elements, solid matter in wastewater and its measurement. To give pH and dissolved oxygen concepts using in water and wastewater. To teach reaction kinetics for defining reaction level. To teach biochemical oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand concepts and theirs measurement.
Course Content The content of the course consists of the principles of environmental chemistry and sources and characteristics of the chemical pollutants.
