Course Objective The aim of the course is to investigate and learn the ideas and analysis of supercritical fluids in chemical engineering applications. The scope of the course is to teach the methods of extraction and optimization of high value-added materials, optimization methods and application methods for chemical / biochemical systems.
Course Content Definition, properties and selection of supercritical fluid, subcritical and supercritical conditions. Definition of supercritical extraction and separation by supercritical extraction, mass and energy balances, equilibrium relations, process operation. Applications and applications of supercritical extraction in industry. Supercritical fluid technology in bioseparation processes. Supercritical fluid drying processes. Determination of thermophysical properties for supercritical extraction processes. Investigation of mass transfer in supercritical extraction. Process design.
