Course Objective Purpose of this course is to teach fundamental concepts of nuclear energy.
Course Content Introduction to nuclear energy, atomic and nuclear structure, nuclear stability and radioactivity, nuclear reactions, neutron and gamma interactions with matter, fission reaction, fission chain reaction, nuclear reactors, neutron flux and Fick’s Law, Diffusion equation, group diffusion method, neutron moderation, slab, cylinder and sphere solutions, reflected and heterogonous reactors.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
