Course Objective Basic principles of thermal comfort. Insulation applications in buildings. Heat loss calculation. Heating systems and application principles. Design principles of heat plants. Installation materials and equipment selection used in heating systems. Calculation of the pipelines. Design principles of heating systems.
Course Content Introduction, general concepts / heating types, heaters / heating systems, pipe installation / ventilation technique / thermal insulation /losses in pipes / heat loss calculation / pressure loss of installation / pump selection and determination of the critical circuit

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Able to calculate the design heating load of buildings. - Determination the conditions for the interior and exterior design for heating systems. - Thermal analysis of the buildings. - Able to design heating system for a building. - To select the pump and expansion tank. – Able to design piping system. – Able to choose required components for distribution system.
