Course Objective To introduce refrigeration systems with the design principles of its components, and exercise on cooling load calculations. Definition and properties of refrigerants. Halocarbon and ammonium refrigeration systems. Refrigeration by brine, multi-pressure refrigeration systems. Calculation of cooling load. Cooling system components: Condensers, evaporators, cooling towers.
Course Content •Fundamentals of Refrıigeratıon. •Compression Refrıgeratıon Systems. •Refrigeration by Evaporation •The Basic Refrigeration Cycle •Refrıgeratıon Meterials and Hand Tools •Compressors •Condensers and receıvers. •Evaporators, Types of evaporators •Flow control Devies, Types of flow Control Devices. •Refrigerants, Characters of Refrigerants. •Domestic refrigeration and Domestic Refriceration Systems. •Requpments of Commerical Refrigeration Equipment. •Refrigeration Systems and Application •Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Control Engineering and Mathematical Modelling •Electrical Engineering in Relation to Refrigeration •Optimisation of Refrigerating Systems in Theory and Practice .
