COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To provide knowledge, skills and abilities to student who have already known computer aided drawing in 2D and 3D via teaching a computer aided design and simulation program.
Course Content Create solid models of a variety of machine and machine parts using a computer program (Solidworks), assigning materials, load pressure and force on it , and crate finite elements (mesh), make solution and view the results, such as displacement and stress. Analyzing of bolt, nut and pin connection, spot welding, press fit, pressure vessels and sliding bearings. Modeling various frame structures and and analyzing force, strain, displacement of them. Bending and buckling analysis of beams. Analyzing of fatigue.

1 Introduce an advanced computer based design and simulation program, and give the necessary information on how to use it.
2 Creating Solid models of machine parts using computer and software, assign materials, do static analysis, support parts, apply pressure and force ton model, make finite element mesh, solve, obtain results and present result as displacement and stress.
3 Crating a pin connection model and mesh it, apply necessary supports and loads and do stress-strain-displacement analysis.
