Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce the advanced techniques in the field of natural language processing and the current research topics to the students and to make them carry out a project work in this area.
Course Content Introduction to natural language processing, linguistic essentials, language models, grammar and languages, syntactic analysis, regular expressions, morphological analysis, corpora for NLP, machine learning, text categorization, information retrieval, text indexing and retrieval, question answering, collocations, hidden Markov models, presentation of term project
