Course Objective Natural Language Processing, a subdivision of artificial intelligence, aims to develop techniques for processing language that people use. By using these techniques, applications are being developed in many fields such as increasing human machine communication, machine translation, fast information extraction. The aim of this course is to introduce the basic techniques in the field of Natural Language Processing and the current research topics in this area to the students.
Course Content Natural Language Processing Levels and Transitions between them, Phonetics, Morphology, Semantics, Language Modeling, Word Tagging, Morphology Uncertainty Elimination, Spelling Correction, Grammars and Parsing Algorithms, Word Meaning Uncertainty Elimination, Machine Translation
