COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of the course is to provide students with economic knowledge that can be used as a base for further studies. The course consists of two parts: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. In the first part, students will be introduced to the science of economics and understand the concept of price. They will be able to make appropriate analyses of consumer and firm behavior. In the second part, students will gain a better understanding of macroeconomics and learn macroeconomic variables such as GDP, inflation rate, and unemployment rate.
Course Content Microeconomics: Concepts of Demand and Supply, Prices, Elasticity, Market Equilibrium, Cost Analysis. Macroeconomics - Gross National Product, National Income, Economic Growth, Inflation, Unemployment, Money and Interest, Exchange Rates, Monetary and Fiscal Policy
