Course Objective The aim of this course is to help students develop their capacity to solve and understand different problems regarding urbanization processes/policies and to increase theoretical awareness of urban studies.
Course Content This course covers urban policies regarding the management of urban development/urbanization processes.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Reviews and evaluates by compares the theoretical foundations of urbanization and urban theories.
2Explains the reasons and historical conditions of urbanization in Turkey and in World.
3Learns and discuss the theories, process, legal foundations of urban planning.
4Queries the basic features of the housing problem and the effectiveness of housing policies developed in Turkey for the solution of problem.
5Recognizes the fundamental characteristics of the problem of landing and formulates the activities developed for the solution of this problem.
