Course Objective The aims of the course to show the significance role of local authorities not only in their performance of local services but also in their contribution to the improvement of democratic culture.
Course Content The Concept of Local Government; importance of Local Government Local Governements Theories, Local Governments in Foreign Countries; and Turkey.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Recognizes the basic concepts about the local authorities, explains the local government units.
2Compares local government units and the central government units with the help of figures and graphs.
3Applies the basic concepts in a case, As president of a local government unit would be the sample cases shows how relations between central government units.
4Categorizes the bottom, local governments could encounter the possible problems, for examplenatural disasters.
5Re-creates the relationships between local authorities and central government taking into account the changing enterprise workstations and network.
