Course Objective This course aims for introductory understanding of the way in which environmental outcomes are affected by including trade. It is expected that students learn relationship between environmental concerns and trade, environmental regulation and trade, effects of environmental policies on competitiveness and distribution of production and trade among countries, environmental innovation, etc. This course will explore some theoretical aspects between trade and the environment and also discuss current issues such as green trade and green economy.
Course Content Environmental policy and international trade, environmental regulations, distribution of sectoral production, environment and economic growth, Kuznets and Environmental Kuztes hypothesis, Pollution Heaven Hypothesis, sustainable trade, green trade, technology and trade.
