COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree
Course Type Compulsory
Course Objective This course aims to provide prospective Mathematics Teachers with a deep understanding and appreciation of basic geometric objects in the R^2 coordinate system. Throughout this course, students will analyze the concepts of vector and line in the plane. In addition, they will learn to obtain the equations of conics such as circle, ellipse, hyperbola, and parabola, draw their graphs and prove theorems about conics. In addition, they will be able to obtain images of conics algebraically and graphically under translational and rotational transformations.
Course Content Point and line interaction on plane analytic geometry, vectors in the plane, line and fundamental problems, circle and basic problems, ellipse and basic problems, hyperbola and basic problems, parabola, and basic problems.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Define vector in the plane and solve problems related to vectors
2Define line concept in the plane and solve problems related to lines
3Define the circle and solve problems related to the circle
4Define ellipse and solve problems related to the ellipse
5Define hyperbola and solve problems related to the hyperbola
6Define parabola and solve problems related to the parabola
