Course Objective To inform the prospective teacher about teaching mathematics outside the school environment, teaching methods and techniques appropriate for out of school learning environments, to ensure the participation of each teacher candidate with an example application to the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of an out-of-school learning activity
Course Content The scope and importance of out-of-school learning; teaching mathematics outside the school environment, teaching methods and techniques appropriate for out of school learning environments (project-based learning, environment-based teaching, etc.); non-formal learning environments (museums, science centers, zoo gardens, botanical gardens, industrial establishments, national parks, science festivals, science camps, natural environments, rural areas etc.); the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning activities out of school
