Course Objective The aim of this course is to support students’ development of fundamental statistical and probabilistic concepts and ideas and develop their statistical thinking and reasoning skills.
Course Content Fundamental concepts, frequency distributions, histogram and frequency polygon, graphical representation of classified data and its application. Parametric and nonparametric central tendency measurements. Skewness and kurtosis. Fundamental concepts of probability theory. Rules of sum and product. Bayes theorem. Table of probability distribution. Expected value and applications. Fundamental concepts in piecewise probability distribution. Binomial, Poisson and Hypergeometric distributions.

1Students will be able to prepare activities for effective learning by taking into account the basis of concepts related to probability and statistics and the learning theories
