COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To provide understanding the basic concepts of algebra of teacher candidates, binary operations, group, cosets, ring, ideal, field, homomorphism, isomorphism, automorphism and the development of the operational and conceptual learning skills for these concepts
Course Content Binary operations, definition of group and basic properties, subgroups, permutation groups, cyclic groups, uniform symmetry group of n-gon, rotational permutations, single and double permutations, homomorphisms, Kosets and Lagrange's theorem, isomorphism theorems, the effect of a group on a set, rings, lower ring and ideals, prime and maximal ideals, ring homomorphisms, arithmetic in rings, polynomial rings, objects; Burnside theorem and its applications, p-groups and related theorems, A_n simplicity for n> 4.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knows the definition of the concept named binary operation and makes applications about its properties.
2Know the concepts such as group and subgroup, normal subgroup, make related applications and prove the theorem
3Knows concepts such as cyclic group, permutation group, coset, makes their applications and prove the theorem
4Know the concepts such as homomorphism, isomorphism and automorphism defined on the groups, make their applications and prove the theorem.
5Know concepts such as ring, sub-ring, ideal, makes their applications and prove the theorem related to these concepts
6Know the concepts such as homomorphism, isomorphism and auto automorphism on rings, make their applications and prove theorem related to these concepts
