Course Objective To explain the general operating principles of operating systems, to recognize the operating systems components, to establish and manage an operating system. 
Course Content Comparative Anatomy of Operating Systems, Computer System Structures. Basic concepts and the evolution of operating system. Operating system functions and characteristics. Standard operating systems and structures (NT, WINxx, UNIX (Linux),Novell). Using operating systems: monitor programs and shells; system calls and the programmer interface. Processes, memory management, file systems. 
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
