Course Objective Using graphic design programs in education. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fireworks, Paint, Freehand, and Adobe Flash programs.
Course Content What is graphic communication? What is graphic design? Design process and principles; History of graphic design; Creativity in graphic design; Basic design elements in graphic; Application Areas of Graphic Design (Typographic Communication, Graphic Icons-Emblem, Symbolic Mark, Logo and Trademarks-, Visual Identity Design, Poster Design); Basic Graphic Information (Pixel Depth, Compression, Image Formation Selection, Resolution); graphical drawing program (Photoshop, Fireworks, etc.) (Toolbox, Layers, Filters, Effects), animation, basic level program development using animated script language; Usage principles of animation in education; Developing an educational software using an animation program.
