COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course aims to give the students a basic understanding of the history of science. Students will examine the connections between science and the society and come to appreciate that science is not only effects the society but also effected by society. This course also aims to give students a basic understanding of information and communication technologies.
Course Content The evaluation of the science from old Near East civilizations to today. Science in Ionia-Hellene, Islam-Turk (Arabic, Horosan, Seljuk, Pendulum, Ottoman) Periods. The developments in Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics, Medicine, Biology etc… in the West from these periods and Renaissance. The Revolutions in science and technology in 20th century.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
