COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is two folded. First, to help student to gain fundamental knowledge and skills to critically read and analyze a scientific article, and second to help students to gain basic skills and knowledge to write a scientific report. .
Course Content Fundamental concepts and approaches in research Steps in scintific research Research questions and hypotheses Library search and literature review Critical thinking about research: Selecting subjects and controling confounding variables Research designs and the threats to validity Report writing .

Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Recognize main concepts related to scientific research process.
2Understand the significance of science, scientific method and scientific research
3Recognize various sources related to science and scientific research.
4Conduct literature review by utilizing different sources.
5Collecting adequate information for the related topic of the research.
6Synthesize the related information in a critical and effective way.
7Have knowledge of writing and preparing report.
