Course Objective The aim of this course is to know the concept of group psychoeducation, the place and features of group psychoeducation among other group types; to understand the process of preparing a group psychoeducation program, composing and leading psychoeducation groups.
Course Content Psychoeducation concept; place of group psychoeducation among other group types; features of group psychoeducation; determining the subject, general purpose and target group of psychoeducation program; stating the rationale and importance of the group psychoeducation program; determination of goals in group psychoeducation program; structuring the content in the group psychoeducation program; phases of group psychoeducation; session stages in group psychoeducation; some techniques that can be used in group psychoeducation; selection of group members; leadership in group psychoeducation; therapeutic factors in the group; some problem behaviors in members in group psychoeducation; ethical and professional issues in group psychoeducation.
Prerequisites PDR 3014 GROUP PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
