COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Level	Bachelor's Degree
Course Type	Compulsory
Course Objective	This course is designed for prospective teachers to analyze classroom management for structure, system, process, education and discipline perspectives. To acquire fundamental knowledge and skills related to effective classroom management. To examine classroom management issues for developing a critical perspective to classroom management strategies. To develop awareness of teacher-parent cooperation in maintaining effective teaching and learning process.
Course Content	Basic concepts related to clasroom management; physical, social and psychological perspectives of clasroom context; classroom rules and discipline; models related to classroom discipline and management; management of student behaviour, communication and interaction process in classroom; student motivation, time management, teacher as an educational leader in classroom; management of teacher-parent meetings; creating a positive classroom and learning environment; case studies related to classroom management according to school levels.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	To understand fundamental concepts related to school and classroom management.
2	To comprehend the conditions for creating a positive learning environment in classroom.
3	To comprehend theories of motivation.
4	To be able to discuss and implement ways of motivating students.
5	To be able to explain the fundamental dimensions of time management in classroom.
6	To be able to explain the fundamental dimensions of developing effective comminication process in classroom.
7	To develop strategies for student misbehaviors in classroom.
8	To be able to analyze all the dimensions of the behavioral management.
