Course Objective To be informed about the concepts of art, education and art education, To enable them to discuss and present the educational problems and solution proposals determined in this direction; By identifying the child as an individual with his/her developmental characteristics, to ensure that physical, mental and social development characteristics and artistic development characteristics related to these developmental characteristics are learned.
Course Content Creativity in art; features of children's paintings; types of visual perception and aesthetic development steps in art from the child's scribble period to adulthood; project studies suitable for the content of the course with examples of original children's paintings; Exemplifying the developmental stages by examining the pictures of children belonging to different age groups.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Gains knowledge about the concepts of art, culture, art education, creativity and related concepts and definitions.

3By having the knowledge of identifying the child with his/her developmental characteristics, he/she will have information about the physical, mental and social development characteristics and artistic development characteristics in relation to these developmental characteristics.
4Gains knowledge about children's drawings, their features, developmental stages and their reflections on their work.
5Gains knowledge of evaluating children's two- or three-dimensional works in terms of form, color, subject and content.
6Knows the factors that harm children's creativity and has information about the propositions to be made in a positive way.
7Question current teaching practices in the context of arts education.
