COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To comprehend the relationship between visual sense and perspective image, to learn perspective drawing techniques and types. To know and apply the meaning of terms such as depth of field, space, point of view, horizon line, vanishing point, etc. related to perspective drawing. Analyzing the depth effect in a realistic painting according to aerial perspective or types of single, double and triple dashed line perspective. To understand the relationship between illusion and perspective. To use perspective in imaginative illustration (design) works.
Course Content Perspective drawing is a painting technique based on the principle of obtaining technically realistic images by transferring the optical vision arising from the structure of the eye to a two-dimensional plane. From this point of view, in the content of this course, visual physiology and visual perception knowledge, photographic vision, aerial perspective, one-, two- and three-point perspective drawings, the position of objects relative to our point of view, depth, the importance of perspective in perception of space, perspective in interior and exterior drawings, imaginary illustration showing the effect of environment, space and depth, and making perspective analyzes in painting and photography.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1The student who takes this course, (1) knows the subjects of seeing and illusion.
2(2) explains the place and importance of perspective in painting.
3(3) applies the basic drawing techniques related to perspective.

5(5) distinguish the types of perspective in artistic works.
6(6) uses perspective in imaginary illustration.
