Course Objective It aims to reveal the relationship between art and technology by considering the visual works of art that use new media technologies and are produced in connection with the cultural, political and aesthetic possibilities offered by these tools, thus contributing to the production of creative design.
Course Content New media art defines works of art that use emerging new media technologies and are produced in connection with the cultural, political and aesthetic possibilities offered by these tools, and refers to works made using digital technologies such as interactive multimedia installations, virtual reality environments and web art. In the course, the relationship between art and technology is examined, the theoretical dimension of new media art is examined, current examples are analyzed, and creative applications are put forward.
