COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To discuss the freedom of making art, to understand the relationship between ethical value in art and philosophy, law and morality, to know the legal rights of artists and art work owners within the scope of the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works. To learn about plagiarism in art, to explain copyright.
Course Content Within the scope of the Law (No: 5846) on Intellectual and Artistic Works, the rights of the artist, the person and property subject to art, as well as the legal rights of the owners of the works of art are discussed with examples of various branches of art. Cases in the public domain within the scope of crime and punishment are discussed. In addition, it is essential to protect the work and original idea of the artist, who is a creative individual. At the same time, it is explained that art should be respectful to people, the environment and nature while remaining within the ethical limits.
