COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course has the aim of both gaining technical knowledge and experience about the art of sculpture and learning the methods of transferring the acquired knowledge and experience. 1. To be informed about the art of sculpture as a three-dimensional language of expression in artistic expression, to ensure that the traditional techniques and materials of sculpture used from the past to the present are well known and to learn the application and molding techniques, 2. As an art teacher, learning-teaching methods in the field of sculpture to obtain and to develop new methods.
Course Content Basic sculpture theories and concepts, visual and cultural knowledge and skills to analyze a sculpture in terms of period, technique and content, perception of sculpture as a unique means of expression, studies that develop the competence of creating a visual language suitable for one's own tendencies by experimenting with different techniques and materials and exemplifying them with works of art. . In addition, students are provided to associate their work with different disciplines and to understand contemporary art practices. Biennials, fairs, exhibitions, etc., within the possibilities of the students. Recommended places to visit. Occupational health and safety precautions are taken into consideration in the practices to be carried out within the scope of the workshop. In addition, students are provided with information about the exhibition methods, process, presentation techniques and portfolio preparation, to apply this knowledge and to comply with ethical rules in all processes.
