Course Objective Understanding the importance of fiction and editing, which is a unique feature of human beings, in visual communication through photography, creating a perception of reality and emotional expression in artificial environments, learning creative techniques in digital editing, analyzing advertisement-promotion photographs that are a professional area, getting to know advertising photographers.
Course Content The Major Studio - Photography 5 course contains, (1) fiction-editing and visual expression in photo shooting, (2) creative techniques and sample approaches in post-shooting digital applications, (3) fields where photography is used as a communication language: fashion, product promotion (advertisement), still life, art photography and related studio applications (4) Scales and perspective in fictional compositions, design principles and visual signs, cultural codes, representation (metaphor, metanomy) approaches, emotional expression, digital improvement and manipulation possibilities and (5) reading and semiotics, (6) advertising photography in Turkey.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1The student who takes this course, (1) knows editing techniques and approaches in photography.
2(2) develops a fictional narrative language and reflects it on his works.
3(3) analyzes and makes sense of the signs in advertising photographs.
4(4) uses photography as a means of artistic expression and produces projects.
5(5) knows digital photography techniques and try to experimental practices on image with image processing programs.
6(6) establishes a relationship between photography and other visual arts.
