Course Objective This course has the aim of both gaining technical knowledge and experience about the art of sculpture and learning the methods of transferring the acquired knowledge and experience. 1. To be informed about the art of sculpture as a three-dimensional language of expression in artistic expression, to ensure that the traditional techniques and materials of sculpture used from the past to the present are well known and to learn the application and molding techniques, 2. As an art teacher, learning-teaching methods in the field of sculpture to obtain and to develop new methods.
Course Content With basic sculpture theories and concepts, they will be able to analyze a sculpture in terms of period, technique and content; visual and cultural knowledge and skills, perceiving sculpture as a unique means of expression, experimenting with different techniques and materials (clay, wood, metal, etc.) and exemplifying with works of art, a 3D formatting language (modeling, sculpture, casting, low and high relief, etc.) includes studies to develop the ability to create; In addition, students are provided to associate their work with different disciplines and to understand contemporary art practices; Occupational health and safety measures are ensured in practices to be carried out within the scope of workshops; In addition, students are provided with information about the exhibition methods, process, presentation techniques and portfolio preparation, to apply this knowledge and to comply with ethical rules in all processes.
